The Horizon platform supports both pre-paid and post-paid billing. It integrates with your existing billing services by supplying real-time call data records (CDRs) to your post-paid billing services; and by sharing, bi-directionally, credit consumption and top-up with your prepaid platform.
When a pre-paid user is making a VoIP call, their credit consumption is shown in real time and their call time is controlled by the destination dialled. Horizon maintains a table of all available PSTN destinations along with the minimum credit and rolling increments per destination/user profile. Horizon supports in-app credit card top-up or auto top-up.
When a post-paid user is making a VoIP call, their data consumption (in kilobytes) is shown in real time. Once the call is complete, a CDR is generated from the Horizon line server (connected to the PSTN). This CDR can be utlilised by your post-paid billing to invoice the customer for minutes consumed using Horizon during the billing period.
